Fiore Poncho (English)
The Fiore Poncho combines delicate floral motifs, airy filet crochet, and flowing fringes in a relaxed silhouette. Wear it over a simple top or dress, or as a light layer on warm days.
The poncho is made from two matching rectangular panels, worked back and forth following filet crochet charts. The panels are blocked and joined at the shoulders, leaving an opening for the neckline, before adding crochet borders and fringes.
Skill level
Recommended for intermediate crocheters, or confident beginners comfortable following crochet charts. You will use chains, slip stitches, single crochet, and double crochet. A filet crochet guide and practice chart are included.
Sizes and finished measurements
Available in sizes 1 (2) 3. Choose your size according to your preferred width and length.
Width across arms and chest: 98 (101) 104 cm.
Length excluding fringes: 59 (63) 67 cm.
The measurements refer to the finished poncho after blocking. Fringes add extra length.
Materials
Yarn: Scheepjes Maxi Sugar Rush, mercerised cotton, 280 m per 50 g, or a suitable alternative that achieves the stated gauge.
Yarn quantity: 500 (500) 550 g for sizes 1 (2) 3 — equivalent to 10 (10) 11 balls.
Crochet hook: 1.5 mm, or the size needed to achieve gauge.
Scissors.
Blocking mats and rustproof pins.
A book or similar object for cutting even fringe lengths.
The sample is made in colour 246, Icy Pink.
Gauge
32 stitches × 13 double crochet rows = 10 × 10 cm in open filet crochet, measured after blocking. Count each double crochet and each chain as one stitch.
What’s included
An English-language PDF using US crochet terminology, with filet charts for all three sizes, a filet crochet guide, and written instructions for construction, blocking, joining, borders, and fringes. The floral design is worked from charts.
Please note: This is a digital crochet pattern, not a finished poncho. The pattern is for personal use only and may not be copied, shared, resold, translated, or distributed.
